Got Something to Say?

Canadian Paramedicine welcomes submissions from freelance writers, experts in the Canadian Emergency Medical Service professions and letters to the editor. Whether is a comment about something published in Canadian Paramedicine, an article about an innovative product or practice in your service, or a challenging call, we want to hear about it.

We also accept photos for publication! If you take a great action shot, please feel free to send it to us - who knows? Your photo could be featured on the cover!

How to Submit Your Idea

Freelance writers should submit a query letter first, indicating the topic they are going to write on, what sources they will contact for their story and an estimated word length.

Columnist inquiries are also welcome. Writers who would like to submit a regular column to Canadian Paramedicine should send an e-mail message outlining the topic or topics they will focus on, as well as a brief biography about themselves, including area of expertise, education background, and work experience.

Format for Articles and Photos

All articles should be submitted as MS Word documents. Other formats must be approved in advance. Any accompanying photos or graphics should be submitted as separate jpeg files, with a resolution of 300 pixels per inch, and at least 1 MB in size.

We reserve the right to edit to size and for libelous content. We also reserve the right, at the publisher's discretion, to not publish submitted materials whether solicited or unsolicited. Unsigned letters without contact information (for confirmation purposes) will not be published. In some circumstances, names will be withheld by request.

Where to Send Your Article

Please send all materials to Publisher Lyle Blumhagen, at cp@emsnews.com or by mail to Canadian Paramedicine, PO Box 579, Drumheller, Alberta, Canada T0J 0Y0. We can also be reached by telephone at (403) 823-5969.
